proxy owners and webmasters forum

Currently I do not have any ads up.
What ads would work on a website like this? (keep in mind my Adsense is banned)
Can I sell banner space and text link space directly?

How about text link spots for proxies? After all, they will be getting backlinks from hundreds of proxy related pages... should be great for SEO.

also try going to other companies which enable you to play around with the fonts and color so you can blend them with the threads
some thing like adengage.com maybe ?

I would definetly recommend putting up ads, and selling text links can bring in some pretty good money . Try that :p.

you could use crispads like i posted in another post, maybe sell some ads space or even let proxy owners advertise their sites (somewhere noticeable and appealing like side.) for a good price per month. say $5 per month but people will have their sites in their sigs anyways....

You can sell banner & direct links & many people giving services for proxies like proxy submission service would advertise. Your forum members like me can also take the ad spots by paying & linking to the service thread so that that'll get more customers. Something like featured posts. No one would promote proxies as this is forum of proxy owners.

I dont think it is a big deal that you got banned from adsense. Historically, forums do not perform well in click-through advertising.

I think you are much better off with selling ad space. This guarantees you income. I would suggest going through a website like http://www.text-link-ads.com. They have been the tried and true method for selling text links in my opinion.

You could also sell banner ads on your own. There are plenty of automated programs to help you do this by yourself.

I have heard some people use widgetbucks.com. The only trouble there is deciding which category of ads is best to display.

How about this as an idea? Sell links to general webmaster resources? (web hosting etc.)

Widget buck might not have any categories of ads related to proxy owners so there might not be any clicks. promoting some proxy related affiliate programs that pay you to get signups to there proxy services may help. You can have your own advertisement systems.

Well I think I also liked the last one. Selling text link spots but I think you should use widgetbucks and neveblueads using mod "ads as reply"
