Paypal vs others

Postby Mission Environment on Sun Jan 06, 2008 3:55 am

Does anyone use anything besides paypal? Things like moneybookers, egold, etc? I personally do not. They do not seem reliable, professional, or safe to me. Also, it does not seem like they are widely used outside of the webmaster crowd - which I think defeats the purpose.

I have an epassporte account (http://www.epassporte.com).
I use to be in the adult business which doesn't work with Paypal; so I had to make an account.
I don't really use it anymore though... mostly Paypal now.

Im same as mmelen. epassporte is the only other account I have and that is because i used to use a few designers who all wanted money through it. Paypal is by far, far the most used account and unless you have a real need for other i wouldnt bother.

I would agree that paypal is all you really need. Unless of coarse it is something to do with the Adult industry, or some webmasters only take E-gold or MB. From my experience though Ive only had to deal with paypal payments.

From what i have found on the internet paypal is much more widely accepted, especially in America. Unless there is a specific need for any other system paypal is almost always the best option. Plus... ebay takes paypal! :D

Paypal is good enough for me. The acquisition by ebay has greatly increased it's credibility for me

Epassporte has it's uses. It is also accepted at some online gambling establishments, if you're into that kind of thing

I only have a paypal account but I have had to pay someone via Western Union before. I find that if you have to do business with people from India and many other eastern countries, paypal is often not an option.
