Re: Increase CPC

That's for sure there are lot of techniques but they might not work in proxies unless they are attractive to proxy users who would click if they like. Because the proxies are not like blogs/content sites/article sites. That is true, but the articles I posted should work for all sites. I think th...

Re: Selling actual items?

Is it hard to process orders the way your site is currently set up? Even if I decided to buy only one product in bulk and sell it, I think I still might use a shopping cart script just to keep better track of inventory, sales, orders, etc. What was your experience?

Re: NEW To Proxies? VERY SHORT guide.

I was just wondering...are there any big name proxy sites? Like for people starting directories, DMOZ is their big competitor, for people starting forums, V7N and DP are big competitors. Is there a big proxy? Or is there room for small proxy to wiggle its way to the top spot?

Re: Traffic from social bookmarking

I am skeptical as well. I never really got into these "promotion fads" and usually stick to the basics - SEO, link exchange, buy links, write articles, etc.

I would like to see if anyone actually has gotten success from this type of marketing? Anyone?

Does anyone use Digg anymore?

I know a year ago it was the hottest way to promote your site, and if you got "dugg" you experienced a nice bump in traffic and revenue. I know I am still constantly staying on digg by adding their little buttons on my blog and articles. Does anyone else?

Re: Selling actual items?

Is that your site? Its a pretty interesting concept. But yea, I was thinking something more along the lines of a site where you have multiple products with a complex shopping cart app. But even a site like this, with one item, an entire sale page of facts, info and persuasion on why you should ...

Re: Proxy's logo .. does anyone care ?

I am going to play devils advocate here. Of course, not having a great logo wont kill you - while you are small. But once you want to take that next step, you are going to need to appeal to people who are unfamiliar with proxies. This is when, I feel, you need a unique yet professional design i...

Re: Not Doing Any Promotion

Nope, not me. And I think these are more rare stories you hear of wild success but you never hear of the failures. Usually it take time, effort and money. Maybe if you combine stumble + digg + other free resources? Well, lets ask the forum. Has anyone had this type of success before? If so...

Re: Having Proxy in the Domain

I guess it all depends on what type of marketing you plan on implementing. In one hand, you can rely on people finding you via search engines. In this case, you would want the word proxy in your domain. You would be probably easier to find, better rankings, and higher potential visitors. But you...

Just a word of advice

I was recently searching through the cpanel of my host provider (hostmonster.com) and I realized they have some really great things available for free. For instance, they gave me $50 free for Yahoo and Google advertising, they have free ebooks, free membership to some sites, etc. So I would sugges...
