These lists and groups are only useful to a certain extent. Most of these are just many proxy owners together. This could be useful for exchanging links, making connections, help with technical, practical, or logistical issues, etc. But what I am pretty sure these groups will not help you with is a steady flow of traffic.

So when you go into these groups and you use them right, it should be a tremendous help. If you go in just looking for traffic, I dont think you will do very well.

Thanks a lot for the groups links. This method really works. I have gotten a Yahoo and Google auto group poster and I am finding more groups so that my proxies get lot of traffic. If the traffic keeps coming, with a decent revenue, I may start proxies once in 2 - 3 days and keep flipping them for a good sum. Thanks a lot for the groups. Highly appreciated.

I wouldn't think so... the groups are more for launching a fresh new proxy; not steady traffic.
